Product Care

Most dishware pieces I make with porcelain or stoneware clay are safe to place in the dishwasher unless otherwise stated on the individual product page. However, I recommend hand washing to safeguard their appearance and ensure a lifetime of use.

As with all ceramic dishware, it is susceptible to thermal shock. Thermal shock occurs with sudden temperature change, exposing pieces to heat and then cold and vice versa.

Matt or Satin glazes may mark or stain from use. Unlike a Gloss glaze, Matt or Satin glazed surfaces are not entirely smooth even though they may look and feel like they are. They are slightly porous by nature and absorb certain foods' colours or retain cutlery marks. These marks are easily removed using a fabric-scouring cloth, water, or baking soda. Please do not use metal-based scouring cloths, as these may produce more marks!

CARE GUIDE

  • When possible, it's best to handwash than using the dishwasher.

  • Try not to expose pieces to extreme heat changes.

  • Clean Matt or Satin glazed pieces with a fabric scouring cloth or baking soda.

Returns

All sales are final. As a small business, I'm unable to accept returns if you change your mind. Please make sure you choose carefully.

All sales are made under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act.

Damaged or Faulty Product

I do my best to provide you with a beautiful, fault-free, handcrafted product when it leaves the Studio. As all products are handmade on an individual basis, variance is to be expected in the crafting process. Each piece is unique in its own right, not manufactured to be devoid of the maker's mark.

In the event of breakage during shipment, please make email contact as soon as possible after receiving the piece with detailed photographs of the damage so I can work on making things right.
